Moran Eye Center promises relief for migraine sufferers by managing light sensitivity (photophobia). Migraines, the most common cause of photophobia, affect around 80% of individuals during episodes. 🚦Research indicates that specific light wavelengths, particularly white, blue, amber, and red, aggravate migraines by activating intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells (ipRGCs). However, a 2020 study in Cephalalgia found that green light-emitting diodes (LEDs) do not trigger these cells and can reduce monthly headache occurrences by 60%. πŸ‘“Existing migraine glasses, such as blue light blockers and FL-41 rose-tinted glasses, only block a small portion of harmful light. The new Avulux Migraine & Light Sensitivity Lenses use precision tinted filters to block higher percentages of detrimental wavelengths while allowing comfortable light through. These patented lenses have FDA confirmation as general wellness tools and are the first to be tested in a clinical trial, offering a new, validated option for those seeking migraine relief. ## Related posts [![](https://visionexecutives.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SpaMedica%20Enhancing%20Optometric%20Referrals.png?height=200&name=SpaMedica%20Enhancing%20Optometric%20Referrals.png)](https://visionexecutives.com/blog/insights-from-spamedicas-christine-purslow-at-100-optical) ## [Insights From SpaMedica's Christine Purslow at 100% Optical](https://visionexecutives.com/blog/insights-from-spamedicas-christine-purslow-at-100-optical) [Vision Executives](https://visionexecutives.com/blog/author/vision-executives) Mar 14, 2025, 8:55:58β€―AM π„π§π‘πšπ§πœπ’π§π  𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐒𝐜 π‘πžπŸπžπ«π«πšπ₯𝐬: 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐒𝐠𝐑𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦...
