๐Ÿ‘€Specsavers has launched a new initiative to provide free eyecare to the homeless. Research shows that 40% of homeless individuals have eye problems, yet 44% have never had an eye test or havenโ€™t had one in over five years.

๐ŸชTo address this, 45 Specsavers stores across the UK are opening out-of-hours to offer free sight tests, eye care, and glasses in a safe, judgement-free space. The initiative aims to improve eye health and calls on the government to remove barriers to eye health services for the homeless.

Dame May Perkins, co-founder of Specsavers, said: โ€œSpecsavers was set up to make eye care available and affordable for everyone.โ€ This effort underscores their commitment to ensuring everyone has access to essential eye care.
