Essilor have announced a breakthrough in their progressive lens innovation: Varilux® XR series. EssilorLuxottica have harnessed the power of AI and combined it with their understanding of consumer lifestyle to create a progressive lens which offers instant sharpness in motion.

Accordion to Optical Insider, our eyes are moving 100,000 times a day to process all the visual information we are exposed to, therefore this lens keeps up with the lifestyle and visual challenges of its users.

“Varilux® XR series™ wearers benefit from instant sharpness, even in motion, with up 49% more vision volume\*\* compared to Varilux X series.” - Optical Insider.

This is an exciting development for the optical and ophthalmology industry, and we look forward to seeing how this innovative lens progresses.
