WE COMPLETED WALK FOR WORLD SIGHT DAY

🏔️The Vision Executives team successfully completed Walk For #WorldSightDay and raised over £500 for HCP Cureblindness👁️

Any further donations are still welcome so visit our Just Giving page before it closes on Monday 16th Oct 🙏

We climbed Scafell Pike (England’s tallest mountain at 1000 meters) in 8 hours having coved nearly 15km. Initially our goal was to complete the hike within 7 hours, however, during our descent, we bumped into a man whose 11-year-old dog, Winston Churchill, collapsed on his way down from reaching the summit. Winston has previous completed some of the UK’s highest peaks and has never collapsed before but was unfortunately unable to continue his descent on this occasion. To ensure Winston got back home safely, we improvised by using a coat as a sling to carefully transport him to the base of the mountain. From there, Winston was taken home for some much-needed rest 🐶

We have managed to achieve 118% of our fundraising target so far and would like to thank everyone for the support we have received🥳 Your generous donations will fund multiple #cataract surgeries, making a huge difference for the lives of many in areas of the world with little to no access to #healthcare.

We are all exhausted this morning but (mostly) enjoyed the challenge which we did for a great cause 👏
