Walk for World Sight Day is Back

𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤!

🏔️ The Vision Executives team is taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon, Wales' highest mountain, to raise funds for the Cure Blindness Project on World Sight Day, October 10th. Standing over 1,000 meters tall, the Snowdon climb covers approximately 7.5 miles, which the team aims to complete in 6 hours.

🚶‍➡️This marks the third annual "Walk for World Sight Day" event organized by Vision Executives, which began in 2021 with the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, raising £1,581 for eye care charities. Last year, the team successfully conquered England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike, raising £590 for the Cure Blindness Project to an incredible £2,500!

👀 The funds raised from this year's climb will help support the 43 million people worldwide who are blind, 90% of whom live in areas with limited or no access to proper eye care. These individuals often face isolation and exclusion. Incredibly, just $25 can cover the cost of sight-restoring surgery, providing a life-changing opportunity for someone to regain their vision and improve their quality of life.

👩‍⚕️ The Cure Blindness Project focuses on eliminating preventable blindness by delivering high-quality, affordable eye care in underserved regions of the world. Beyond restoring sight, this initiative transforms lives—lifting up not just those affected, but also their families and communities. By training and equipping local medical professionals, the project ensures a sustainable impact, empowering communities to fight avoidable blindness for generations to come.

🌎 Currently, the Cure Blindness Project is active in over 25 countries, including key regions in South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on Bhutan, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, and Nepal. Together, we can make a profound difference—one step, one climb, and one restored life at a time.
