Ultra-long, thick eyelashes are undeniably in vogue, but are they truly worth the expense—and more importantly, the risk to your health? While eyelash extensions can enhance your look, the potential health hazards they pose are anything but pretty.

👁 Natural eyelashes protect our eyes from bacteria, viruses, and debris, keeping them lubricated and safe. However, eyelash extensions can cause serious issues:

\- Keratoconjunctivitis: Over 60% of women reported inflammation of the cornea and conjunctiva from eyelash adhesive.
\- Allergic Reactions: 40% experienced allergic reactions to the glue.
\- Toxic Glue: Some adhesives contain formaldehyde, a carcinogen. Studies found that 75% of professional glues and several consumer glues release this harmful chemical.
\- Blepharitis: The most common complication is inflammation or irritation of the eyelids.

Despite their beauty, eyelash extensions can pose severe health risks. It’s crucial to weigh the potential health risks. Eyelash extensions may seem like a harmless beauty enhancement, but the reality is they can pose serious threats to your eye health and overall well-being. Proceed with caution and consider the risks before deciding if they are truly worth it.
