πŸ‘¨β€βš•οΈ Surgeons at Hinchingbrooke Hospital believe a Β£52,000 ophthalmic machine could help restore vision for patients with complex eye conditions.

πŸ’‰ Tomasz Kuczynski, 42, was the first to undergo surgery using the Microkeratome, a highly advanced device that enhances corneal transplant procedures. The machine, funded through donations, is available in only a few UK centres and allows patients to receive specialist treatment closer to home.

πŸ‘€ After years of deteriorating vision, Mr. Kuczynski described the results as life-changing: "I can see amazing little details I've not been able to see before." His lead surgeon, Jesse Panthagani, expects a full recovery.

πŸ‘οΈThe new technology is also expected to reduce waiting times and improve surgical outcomes for future patients.
