The session focused on how patients' lifestyle choices, behaviours, dietary habits, and environmental factors could potentially affect their ocular health and, consequently, their experience with contact lenses. Practitioners exchanged views on whether specific types of contact lenses or advanced material technology should be considered to address these concerns.

🎤Spokesperson Marie-Therese Hall urged attendees to contemplate how to measure contact lens success and how lifestyle factors might influence it, taking into account the patient's eye examination findings and reported day-to-day activities. The discussion also revolved around determining success criteria for follow-up appointments, with Hall stressing the possibility of certain cases requiring more frequent monitoring. Attendees were encouraged to discuss their chosen management approach with patients, suggest alternative lenses when necessary, and outline plans for future follow-up appointments.
