ZEISS Medical Technology has announced that they have entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in DORC Dutch Ophthalmic Research Center (International), from the investment firm Eurazeo. This acquisition will enhance and complement ZEISS Medical Technology’s broad ophthalmic portfolio and range of digitally connected workflow situations for addressing a wide variety of eye conditions, including retinal disorders, cataracts, glaucoma, and refractive errors. The acquisition is expected to close in the first half of 2024 and is valued at an enterprise value of approximately €985M.

Certainly not us... Nevertheless, we think this is a great move by Zeiss which will make them one of if not the global leader in the #Vitreoretinal #ophthalmic market. Hopefully everyone's jobs will be safe but who knows what could happen in the integration process.
