👏 [Alcon](https://www.linkedin.com/company/alcon/) has officially launched its UNITY surgical platform, featuring the UNITY Vitreoretinal Cataract System (VCS) and the UNITY Cataract System (CS), at the 2025 ASCRS meeting in Los Angeles. These systems, cleared by the FDA in June 2024, represent the latest additions to the Alcon Vision Suite, aiming to enhance efficiency and outcomes in cataract and vitreoretinal surgeries.

The UNITY platform introduces several first-to-market technologies:
👁 UNITY 4D Phaco: Delivers up to twice the speed in nucleus removal with approximately 40% less energy usage compared to previous systems.
👁 HYPERVIT 30K: Billed as the world's fastest vitrectomy probe, capable of 30,000 cuts per minute.
👁 UNITY Intelligent Fluidics: A real-time pressure and flow control system designed to maintain stable intraocular pressure during procedures.

👀 Additionally, the UNITY VCS system includes the UNITY 27 Gauge Portfolio with Dynamic Stiffener technology, providing enhanced control and precision for intricate procedures. Alcon's UNITY systems are now available, with shipments commencing in May 2025 to markets including the U.S., Europe, Japan, and Australia
