👀 [ZEISS Medical Technology](https://www.linkedin.com/company/carl-zeiss-meditec/) has unveiled the MICOR 700, a groundbreaking lens extraction technology designed as the first handheld device for ultrasound-free lens removal. Marketed for its ability to provide "gentle lens extraction" and enhance patient experience, the MICOR 700 is specifically intended for use during the ZEISS NULEX (non-ultrasonic lens extraction) procedure.

👩‍⚕️ One of the standout features of the MICOR 700 is its specialized tip, which offers greater sensitivity when in contact with surrounding tissue compared to standard phaco tips. This innovation is made possible by Zeiss's patented crystalline lens extraction technology, allowing the MICOR 700 to function as a single-use, fluidic system that removes lenses without the need for ultrasound.
